The village Mojstrana (641 m), which lies at the mouth of Triglav Bistrica river Sava Dolinka, can boast of a healing climate and rich mountaineering tradition. It is the birthplace of many famous Slovenian athletes. With its rich historical, ethnological and natural heritage is a pleasant tourist destination for all lovers of nature and cultural attractions. Mojstrana is also an excellent starting point for many hikes in the Julian Alps and Karavanke.
In Mojstrana it has won its place Slovenian Alpine Museum at the entrance to the Triglav National Park, the only Slovenian national park, and in the Valley Gate, which leads to the mighty Triglav wall.
